What is the goal when playing The Machines Arena?

The goal of the game is to have fun with your friends, be casual or competitive and climb the leaderboard ladder, progress in PVE, and earn Digital Collectibles.

How is blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency used in this product?

We use blockchain technology to give players control over the rewards and achievements they have earned, allowing the player to sell their Digital Collectibles or keep them. It does not currently use cryptocurrency.

What utility does this bring to the product?

The Machines Arena has expanded its game modes to include blockchain technology which will power Digital Collectibles.

Can I use the product without interacting or engaging with blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency?

Yes, you do not have to own a wallet or buy any NFTs or cryptocurrency to play TMA. There will be passes and mints of Digital Collectibles in the form of NFTs in the future that unlock further utility and game modes than the base free game modes.

Does this product require me to connect an external wallet? What wallets does this product support?

You are currently not required to connect an external wallet to play any game modes during Early Access and the free game modes, but some future game modes will require a Ronin wallet if you want to hold your own passes and Digital Collectibles.

What chain does this product use? Is the chain proof-of-work or proof-of-stake?

TMA uses the Ethereum-compatible Ronin side-chain built for gaming to store digital collectibles. Ronin is a Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) chain built by Sky Mavis, creators of the Axie Infinity universe of games.

What are Digital Collectibles, and how can I earn them?

Digital collectibles are rewards you obtain through gameplay. Earn them through day-to-day plays, joining tournaments or events, seasonal rewards, and there will be many more ways to earn. Everything you’ve earned, unlocked, or gotten rewarded will be tied to your account. You will have the ability to bring those items on the chain if you wish to do so. There you can trade or sell to other players.

Does this product have a marketplace? What can I do with the things that I earn (or purchase)?

A marketplace is unavailable for TMA, as Digital Collectibles will be freely tradable between players on external marketplaces.
